Thank you so much for your permanent support to the Stereotactic Radiotherapy Center Sigulda when entrusting us the treatment of your patients.
A year ago the first modern stereotactic radiotherapy centre in the Baltic using CyberKnife M6 device was opened in Sigulda, Latvia. In the course of this year our specialists have mastered and successfully applied stereotactic radiosurgery technology CyberKnife to treat patients with cranial and extracranial pathologies.

In 2016 SRC Sigulda treated patients with acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, multiple metastases in brain, pituitary adenomas, recurrent glial tumours, AVM, cerebral cavernous malformations, trigeminal neuralgia.

Center’s team of specialists led by therapist Dace Saukuma was the first in Latvia to successfully treat a patient suffering from uveal melanoma and also a patient suffering from recurrent salivary gland tumour by means of radiosurgery technology CyberKnife.

A special attention should be paid to stereotactic radiosurgery programme treating patients suffering from prostate cancer, led by physician Maris Mezeckis. Before launching a treatment with the state-of-art technology CyberKnife M6, patients are diagnosed as to the extent of destruction of prostate and remote metastases, and they are offered to have evaluation of PSMA-PET/CT imaging Gallium68 (in cooperation with Center “MedVision”) — the most up to date method of detection of prostate cancer in patients.

Number of patients with extracranial pathology (primary tumours or metastases in lungs, liver, kidneys, lymph nodes, bones) treated with radiosurgical device CyberKnife M6 continued to grow, reflecting a need for such type of therapy, namely ablation therapy in treating small-sized blastemas in virtually any part of body.

Indications for treatment with CyberKnife M6 technology are determined in SRC Sigulda in close cooperation with the attending physician, referring a patient for treatment, as well as multi-field team of professionals such as: radiotherapists, diagnosticians, oncosurgeons (thoracic surgeons, onco-urologists or neurosurgeons) and chemotherapists.

Our medical advisers can provide an on-line opinion regarding treatment possibilities by means of CyberKnife or a second opinion regarding the optimum treatment modality in your case on the basis of medical records of your patient.

RSC Sigulda cooperates with experienced specialists from other countries, including Lithuanian physician – radiologist Darius Norkus, Lithuanian neurosurgeon Arturas Sitkauskas, and Ukrainian neuroradiosurgery specialist, experienced in CyberKnife application since 2009, neurosurgeon Vladislav Burik.

Specialists of the Stereotactic Radiotherapy Center Sigulda are constantly meeting with other doctors, organising travelling seminars, participating in international conferences, scientific researches, results of which are published in international medical publications.

Patients from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Brazil, and Great Britain have been treated in the Stereotactic Radiotherapy Center Sigulda. If necessary, SRC Sigulda can help with visa formalities, employees will assist in organisational issues (travel, accommodation) of your patients and their accompanying persons.

You can upload your patient’s data in this website, section Send treatment demand
